Drama Club
The purpose of the Drama Club is to present opportunities to all students in the school to perform
or assist in putting together a performance. Some members are students in the Drama class, but many are just interested in
the club. All students must learn a short monologue (available from the teacher/advisor) and present it to the group as a
membership requirement.
Meetings are approximately every two weeks, after school. Meetings are announced via PA and TV
announcements with plenty of time for students to make arrangements to stay after school. The goal of the club is to have
several performances (scenes and short plays) each year where students can put to use the acting skills they have learned
or assist with technical aspects (lighting, music/sound, scenery/props or assistant direction).
Occasionally our performances take place during "Exhibition Nights" although the club is trying to
have an afternoon performance of "Music, Dance and Drama" in the school auditorium.
